Ich bin neulich in Hamburg angekommen und werde acht Monate oder so hier leben. Sind einige von euch Hamburger? Bist du Mal Vintage-Shoppen gegangen in Hamburg? Gibt es hier Klubs oder Veranstaltungen, die besonders interessant sind? Und letztens, gibt es jemand hier in der Stadt, der sich für einen Kaffee treffen will... ich hab hier nur ein Paar Freunde und würde mich sehr freuen, neue Leute mit ähnlichen Interessen kennen zu lernen!

Hey,

You can have luck at the Kleidermarktstores. I think if they are as big as in Berlin you really need to search through a lot of modern second hand clothes. If you find something it will more likely be cheap because they sell per weight. I don't know if they also sell women's clothing at Rudolf Beaufays but they are rather expensive anyway. Only very few items are older than 1950s. Most is 70s and 80s tweed.


A rather big party but also often "costumy" Boheme Sauvage They have a dresscode which is basically "No jeans and T-shirt". In my experience there are about 8-20 people who are dressed real vintage and a lot more in costumes or let's say business suits. They make an afford but don't be disappointed. It's still a nice party.

Hello Emy!

I don't live in Hamburg any more, otherwise would have loved to meet up.
The best place for vintage, as well as quirky small designers and vintage inspired clothing is Schanzenviertel. If you take the U3 to Feldstrasse and get out, cross the road and walk along the road that curves to the right you get to a whole bunch of boutiques and vintage shops.
Also try the area around Sternschanze and Schlump (Sternschanze also has the best falafel in town in case you eat those).
All in all vintage in Hamburg is pretty expensive. Last year they had a vintage/antique market in one of the side streets that join Mönckebergstrasse, but I don't know what it was called or if it is a regular thing, as I only visit once or twice a year. Have fun in one of the most beautiful cities in the World!
