Rehfus & Cie. Kehl - Rhein "Zephyr", possibly 1930s. I was looking through photos that I took at the the Gotisches Haus (Gothic House) Hat Museum, Bad Homburg vor der Höhe, Germany back in 2016 and I noticed the paper label of this Stiff Felt was from Rehfus and Cie. Khel - Rhein.

Not sure when they went out of business but probably not long after 1984.

Some other hats.

Echter Borsalino, shred of a Paper Label, measures 58 cm, possibly 1920s. This Stiff Felt turned out to be a very unique find. I have never seen this type of super offset Bow. Great form and very high quality components.

Hückel Wien, 58 cm, possibly early 1950s. There is no paper label but there is 58 cm round size tag. The Sweatband seam is glued and all the Hückel Weilheim hats I checked have stitched seams. The Felt is very light weight and extremely pliable which is also not like any Hückel Weilheim hat I have but this one could be earlier. Great form with contrasting black Band and light gray Binding.

I have a similar Hückel Wien made for Carl Kellner Hamburg. Its Felt has similar characteristics.

Welcome to the lounge. Very nice to see that many Wilke hats together. We like to see more of them individually of course. Please post more pictures of these hats if you can. The one in the upper right is of special interest.

(Not the cleanest one inside but not sure how i can clean without destroying) View attachment 490837 View attachment 490836 View attachment 490838 View attachment 490839 View attachment 490835
Very nice, thank you. That is a fine older Wilke hat. If you're not experienced with refurbishing hats, I wouldn't start with this one. You can of course use some leather conditioner on the sweatband (avoid the string that runs through it). Cleaning up the liner is another thing altogether.
