Great shots of the factory, Steve. Too bad about the Villa...
Thanks!Great shots of the factory, Steve. Too bad about the Villa...
What a wonderful color and texture!Pelschel (Dinkelsbühl) Hut, 59cm probably late 1950s. Very nice Silver Gray Velour for a later time period. This one was made for retailer Carl Zeumer Zum PFAU (Peacock).
As an owner of three Zapfs (all modern vintage), one of them being a Lamberg, I truly appreciate this ad!Found this 1912 Ludwig Zapf (still in business today) advertisement while looking through some digital copies of Österreichisch-ungarische Hutmacher-Zeitung .

I like that shape and texture.Alpine style hat with underwelt edge by "Josef Pichler und Söhne, Graz".
Sold by "Breuninger Stuttgart", a still existing large menswear department store.
I'd date it with 40's, early 50's.
