Brüder Böhm "Luxor", 59cm, Wool, NOS condition, with Böhm Hat Holder and Paper Size Tag, probably late 1930s. Old Brüder Böhm Soft Felts are very rare finds. This is from my latest Czech find.

I think this might be a cloth based sweatband. The separation doesn't appear to be from stretching.
