Well at least we have a name we can use as a sort of reference for hats with brims like that, Steve. Mine seems to definitely favor being worn brim up, though. I've seen hats in different variations and with different flanges that are done in that style. Camber may have been just a fashion style name by one brand, but it's as good a name as any and it does establish that it's not your garden variety of fedora worn brim up.
Stefan, Here is a R. & M. Wegener advert from 1962 that mentions a "Camber" as a "Classic Theater Hat" so that makes 3 major hat companies (P. & C. Habig Wien, Mayser, Wegener) so far that use the term. I am pretty sure I have seen it used elsewhere so probably more examples will be found.

Great info, Steve. Even better if more brands were using it and can be better linked to the style.

Meister Filz Record in grey. Size 57, with the bound brim at 6,5cm and crown at 10,5cm at the pinch. I've had one of these before in brown, which is now residing in Copenhagen. Lovley hat, but too large for me. This comes as close to an American styled hat as any European hat. Full straight crown and fairly wide brim.

Sometimes you come across a hatbrand you've never seen before but it still ticks all the boxes. Here's one of those. I'm even unsure about the brand. Burghausen styled by City Club. German made (I think) in a great colour colour combination. Size 57 (damn) with the brim at 6cm and the crown 11cm at the pinch. Nice hand to the felt and it shapes easily. That's all I can say about it really.

Echter Mayser in blue (jay!). Size 56 with the bound brim at 6cm and the crown at 10cm at the pinch. The link between Hut Seidl and Mayser was very close. Anton Seidl was a partner first and the owner of the Mayser company later. Interesting is that the label on this one states Seidl and not Mayser. So the hat was probably made especially for Hut Seidl's shop in Munich.

Stefan, Super series of hats. The "Marke Förster" has a look of a older hat. I have one too but a different form.
Thanks, Steve. I was lucky finding these and left quite a few interesting ones behind too (because of condition or size issues). I had some doubts about the Marke Förster, but it is certainly growing on me. The felt absolutely has woolcontent but is excellently done. The shape is great too. It is reeded and it doesn't seem to have had any liner or crown patch, because there's no residu of glue or stitching to be found.
