I like the size mixup with the 7 1/4 label, and the 3/8 sticker, haha. Guess someone was having an off day

Interesting! I own a Borsalino Homburg, where the sweatband is fixed at the front in the same way.
It's from the early'50s, though. Is this to provide extra protection against sweating?

i believe it is a method of allowing air flow, like the crown vents in derbys and some lighter weight felts

Justin, They are really fantastic. Thank you for posting the photos. Looks they are from the same find so that makes 3 American market G. B. Borsalino Fu Lazzaro & C hats. They are large sizes too. Do you know who ended up with them?

I've never felt a felt like it.
If it didn't have the added weight of the sweat band I think it would float away.
