I don't know if this hat has any sort of official name but it looks like a cross between a dropped brim cloche and a sunhat to me, although obviously later than late 20s/early 30s. [huh]

After having watched Laura I wanted her hats too. My favorite is the first hat Gene wore when we first see her walk in the door.
I looked up the designer and came up empty.
