Nobody walks in LA!
I grew up on Long Island and left 25 years ago for the second and last time. Out here the traffic has gotten worse every year and the courtesy level is dropping. However, every return trip to NY that involved road time was frightening.
Here, it isn't speed that kills as much as inattentiveness: reading, cell phones putting on makeup, whatever. THe competition for space due to the crowding makes for serious insanity during lane changes, and rush hour IS close to 24 hours each day.
I want bumperstickers that read:
"Tailgators, Why are you so surprised when I brake?"
"Hang Up the Phone and Drive!"
"Keep Honking, I am Busy Reloading!"
"Horn Broken, Watch for Middle Finger!"
On the brightside, it is a vast and diverse place: mountains, ocean, desert, forest, secluded to jam packed and in between with lots of cool stuff to see and do!
I hope everyone that visited had a good time, and will get a chance to see more fun stuff next time.
Best wishes!

The problem in LA is the volume. There are so many cars on the road and at all hours!! I got the feeling that "rush hour" in LA last for 24 hrs.!
