And update. Went to an auction today of two estates. A gentleman who was selling his stuff and moving and another who had passed away. That man was from the Golden Era, having served in WW2 and his workshop reflected that. I came home with these pieces (well some my Dad came home with):

I also got a great bunch of books including one on building "Modern Kitchen Cabinets" from 1948 as the LAST copyright date in it. A few other older books and also some newer wood working/shop books including one on restoring and using antique hand tools.
