Bluegrass Campdraft. Went from Cattleman to teardrop last night. Also steamed a little of the cup out of the front of the brim. "Leave well enough alone?" No, I'm not familiar with that phrase.

My birthday present - a silverbelly Campdraft Deluxe - from my sons and daughter-in-law (an actual Australian) just arrived this morning. The Hattery got it to me from Katoomba in just six days. The bash is very temporary. I'm thinking of a cattleman crease, which I'm going to work on when I get home from the office tonight.

Welcome to The Lounge Mr. Smith! I rather like your temporary bash; I think the crown shape and height suit you well. But then, it isn't my hat.

I took some time perusing your albums on Flickr, and think your photographs are brilliant! I think black and white photography is very underrated in modern society (or is it "grayscale" these days?), and appreciate their mostly candid nature.

Thanks for the warm welcome, Al, and for taking the time to have a look at my photographs. It is something I've been doing seriously, but not professionally, since I was 16. Although I have shot, and occasionally still shoot some color, black & white photography has always been quite special to me.
