Oh my! I have exactly that vanity myself, but the drawer pulls have long since been broken off, and I had no idea what they actually looked like. Very nice!!!

Interesting thing is, there's much debate at the shop as to whether or not they're actually Bakelite. Anybody know a definitive way to tell?

The way I know how to tell Bakelite is to rub on a tiny amount of Simichrome metal polish, using a soft white cloth or cotton swab stick. If the area of the cloth turns mustard yellow the item is Bakelite. I would unscrew the knob and test the back. Wash with soap and water before and after.
Simichrome is the best metal polish I've found and it's about $9.00 for a tube but I'm dashed if I can remember where I bought it.
