That Edward guy looks awesome!
I'm generally pessimistic about the future (we have to save the planet, improve medical science, etc) but I'd be happy if in some William Gibson way we could grow sheets of fur. I'd love a Polar Bear fur coat then (but not now, obviously).

I would simply adore to have a 1930s style Teddy Bear coat.

....though at two grand a pop, I can but keep my eyes out and hope for a lucky find at 50% off or more....

full on fur always reminds me of Sasquatch if in brown or Kong when black.... maybe that camel color is the only one looks nobler to my eyes.

My wife who grew up in northern Alberta has two fur coats that she dare not wear out in public here on the left coast of Canada. The only shop in the city that sells fur coats has a permanent picket line out front with security to screen those who enter the store.

I believe thats the grey version of the coat I posted above.

As noted above, let's stay away from the ethical debate, please - aesthetics only!

Pre-1904 North-West Mounted Police coat. (Forerunner to the Royal Northwest Mounted Police, forerunner to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police)

Until my mother died about 20 years ago and the coat was sold with her estate, we had a buffalo hide coat in the family which looked exactly like that minus the leather straps. Sinew seams. Belonged to my great grandfather who had emigrated to South Dakota from Ontario in the 1880's. Rather wish it was still in the family. I did wear it once.
