Full Brim vs. Stingy Brim

Thats whats throwing me off abt this one. View attachment 75487 Its the George I. Eakle I own. It could go 30's or 60's. I like to think 30's of course. Guesses anyone?

The American Soft Felts Dress Hats that dominate here are based on Western / Cowboy Hats. If you look at the early 1930s and back European Curled Brim Soft Felts were the standard. In most cases the brim width will appear more narrow because of the flange. Same with English Stiff Felt Hats (Bowler, Derby, Melone, ect). In Europe you see the occasional Western Hat / Cowboy influence in the 1950s and on but they are local interpretations.
