I rolled the dice and bought this hat off eBay hoping it would fit based on the seller's measurements (which were photographed). I was right and the hat was larger than expected, but not quite large enough. She advertised it as a 7-1/4 and it fits me like a snug 7-3/8 (it would probably fit better with a slight stretch). It is a pretty nice hat - Vintage Stetson 3X felt in silverbelly (tan), no liner, sweatband in decent shape, no size markings, probably late 1960s or 1970s era (just a guess). The downside is (besides the size for me) there are a couple of pinholes in the front of the crown (very small, not all the way through) and a small mark on the crown - but it is otherwise a pretty decent hat. I would keep it for a beater or project hat it was a 7-1/2, but I am getting rid of most of my 7-3/8 hats. In case anyone here wants it, I am only looking to get my money back out of it - $34.00 shipped in the U.S. - shoot me an email through TFL if interested. It will go back to eBay in a couple of days.
I can take some photos and send them to anyone interested - this one is from the auction.
