Here is a beautiful Schott bomber jacket tagged a size 46 long in a gorgeous dark russet brown steerhide leather that is soft as butter but still tough as nails with absolutely amazing graining and patina that can only be found in a vintage leather jacket. The hide is quite similar to the tumbled steerhide leather offered by Aero Leather (a premier custom leather jacket maker located in Scotland who’s jacket sell for around $1,000). Jacket has the off-while poly fleece lining for extra warmth. Knit cuffs and waistband exhibit minor piling with no holes and still retain some elasticity. Zipper is a big, sturdy aluminum or nickel Talon that works well. Collar fur is still soft and warm with no noticeable fur loss. Jacket has the very rare SCHOTT label above the outside left hand pocket; according to my research this label was only used for 2 years, 1984 and 1985, making this a very unique jacket from one of the most iconic American brands.

Measurements:

Armpit to armpit: 26”

Sleeve length: 28”

Back length: 26”

I had one exactly like it in the 80s/90s. Fantastic jacket, very tough and quite warm. I wore the heck out of it for about a decade and eventually donated it to goodwill when it was very battered and I'd widened too much to wear it. Sure, it's not a repro of any actual style... but it's a classic in its own right. (I won't say what I paid for mine on sale circa 1984, it'll just depress you guys.)

These are real nice, tough utility jackets. My friend's got one and wears it everywhere. Just a good investment.
