This Cavanagh hat has to be deadstock. No signs of any wear and comes with the sales tag still in it.
It is marked 7 1/4 and has a 1 7/8 brim with the Cavanagh edge.
Its color is "blue onyx" but it looks more black or dark, dark gray than blue (it only photographs gray).

For anyone's that's curious, the blue onyx is as Brian described- very, VERY dark. I would say it's the kind of dark grey that people confuse with a super dark navy.
