This is a wonderful old Stetson 7x Clear Beaver in size 7 7/8.
Yes, it's true - it's a full 24 5/8 inches around the inside of the sweat!
I believe it to be an Open Road, but don't see that specifically indicated in writing anywhere on it.
The brim measures 2 7/8 inches.
The crown (as pictured) is right at 5 inches.
The leather is very soft and solidly stitched.
The liner is faded, but clean, and the original wording can still be seen.
The felt is - as expected - unbelievably soft & shape-able.
There is a very light stain on the bottom of the brim in the back (see photo).
There is also a small "indentation" at the top of the crown (see other photo).
But I wouldn't be at all surprised if both items of note came out with some loving care.
There are no bites, and no other issues that I can find.
