This Vanson model is a classic. It seems to have gotten overshadowed the last few years on the lounge with so much going on in the the high end leather jacket world (a good thing). I've worn a brown Enfield for many, many years and it remains my most loved, most worn jacket. I consider it grail level. Short of the VERY lux stuff like Himel, Freewheelers, J. Chapman, I think the Enfield one of the best off the shelf models of any jacket anywhere that you can find. I've worn the lining right out of mine and will soon need to get it re-lined.
Even more so than others, the Enfield really benefits in appearance and drape once the competition cowhide breaks in and softens up. It looks good in the photos, but trust me, it totally looks better once the stiffness is worn out of it.
Indeed I have another Vanson... and I guess it will take years to break in the competition leather since I don't get to use it everyday... but will happen eventually.
