- 57.5cm/ 22 5/8" internal circumference
- cav edge, 2.5" brim, 5.5" 52-type straight-ish block
- no previous crease marks except at pinch front
- takes any dry crease
- mid grey felt and tonal 19 ligne ribbon
- excellent condition throughout; the diffuse spot seen in some of the pics is on the camera lens
- the unusual sweatband double stitching appears to be original

1941 (UK) Scotts Homburg black

- tagged UK size 7 1/4 = US size 7 3/8, measures out to c. 58cm/ 22.85"
- dated December 9th 1941 on the sweatband
- 2 1/8" sweatband, fairly thin leather
- 2.5" brim, very straight block shape, suitable for any crease
- takes any dry crease
- feels like very densely felted material, this is really something
- 22 ligne black ribbon with frayed bow in the older (1920s) fashion
- excellent condition throughout, minor spots on the liner but clean; the diffuse spot seen in some of the pics is on the camera lens

A pitch-black mint British Homburg that shows pre-WWII design features, namely the frayed ribbon and 52ish block shape.
In the open crown pics, note that the hat is resting on a metal lever which causes a temporary bump at the very center of the crown roof. The block shape is actually very straight-sided and flat-roofed.

- 57.3cm/ 22 1/2" internal circumference
- 2.5" brim, 51-type block
- no previous crease marks except at pinch front
- takes any dry crease
- chocolate felt with warmer-colored ribbon (reddish hue, but still a shade of dark brown, wonderful color combination)
- sweatband is beginning to dry out, but can still be worn; the surface cracks have not damaged the integrity of the sweatband. I recommend another round of conditioning (am happy to do that for you if you wish).
- color rendition in the first image is best; the felt is actually still darker, a true dark brown. The other pics are too light.

You don't come across brown Homburgs very often, this is a really nice one with the felt/ribbon color combination!
