A biker & motorcycle culture focused Brand based in Niigata, Japan, Westride offers a wide range of top quality mens wears and gears. This CHP jacket was made by Johnson Leathers in San Francisco, California under Westride label. It's from the Westride's high end customizable leather jacket line. The pattern and style was exclusively made for Westride back then. made of thick and dense 3.75oz cowhide, but not unwearably stiff. as far as I know this type of hide is no longer available. fitted with Japan made blackened brass Talon hardware, heavy duty satin lining. everything top notch. Definitely Langlitz or Lost Worlds level with meticulous craftsmanship. MSRP local Japan was 203500YEN.

The pattern is suitable for motorcycle riding, with full back action pleats, comfortable to move and add layering, yet it holds shape very well, not saggy or baggy. It's similar to Langlitz sz 44 or Vanson 44 sizewise in my opinion. Feel free to ask any questions.

It's a quite a proof that despite JL's crappy website design and poor marketing of their products . they do have a very high customization flexibility and the capacity to build high quality jackets.

The jacket is in nearly new condition. not broken in yet.

I have seen this brand and style jacket in the flesh. The quality is superb! While in Japan, in a vacation budget it was very tempting. At this price, is a slam dunk. I have 8 jackets in this style minus the collar type. However, very tempting.

It's good to know someone here on the lounge having actually seen a Westride/Johnson leather jacket and cat attest to its outstanding quality. just like I said in the private message to you. it's not easy for my body type to get a jacket that fits well. The Westride is too long on the sleeve and too loose in the mid-section as a result of my wider shoulder and narrow waist, otherwise I would want to keep it
