I almost don't want to sell this one. I live very close to an orthodox Jewish community and if I were to wear this as is, it wouldn't feel right (I am not Hasidic or even Jewish). I have thought about sending it off to one of the hatters for a brim binding and new ribbon in a non-black color which would de-Hasidify the hat. The truth is however that it's just a bit too big. That mixed with the number of changes I would need to make have me thinking that this hat would be better off in someone else's collection.

Details about the hat:
The felt is lighter than the Stetsons I've sold and is much lighter than any Akubra felt I've handled. It's even a bit thinner and lighter than Art Fawcet's dress weight felts. The brim is large at 2 3/4" and the crown is tall (though I'll have to measure it later as I don't have it in my hands at this moment). I'm a 7 3/4 long oval and this hat will fit me loosely if I wear it low.

I will ship internationally if you pay the extra shipping for international shipping.

From the liner I can tell you it's post 1961. Other than that I'm not an expert and I couldn't find anything inside the hat with any dating info. I would guess probably 80's-90's just based on the hats it came with.

The dimensions are:
Brim: 2 5/8" front and back. 2 3/4" sides.
Ribbon: 1 5/8"
Crown: Approx. 5 3/4" at highest point
