For sale is a vintage top hat. It measures to a size 58, which fits me with some extra space at the sides. I regularly use size 59 and 60 because my head is an extra long oval. This leads me to believe it fits a 58 LO, but not extra LO, as the sweatband is missing.
The silk plush on the crown is in quite good condition, with only two or three small scuffs where some of the silk has fallen off (but not all). See pics. There is also a tiny hole on the side of the crown. The silk appears not to have fallen off at the hole, so i believe it can be fixed. The silk on the top of the brim is in good condition apart from scuffing on the right top side, which has made some of the silk come off.
As mentioned the sweatband is missing, but the lining is intact. The ribbon/tape covering the edge of the brim is in bad condition and should be replaced. Original felt hat band in good condition but needs cleaning.
