FS or Trade: Vintage Stetson Royal De Luxe Open Road Size 7 1/4

I purchased a couple of vintage Stetsons in a package deal. One fit me and one didn't. The one that didn't fit me is a beautiful vintage Stetson Royal De Luxe Open Road in a size 7 1/4 with a wind trolley. The hat appears to have never been worn. There are no stains or moth bites. The sweatband is nice and supple. The felt is very soft and barely holding the cattleman's crease. I would think it would be very easy to recrease it in a different style if somebody wanted to do so. The inside sweatband has the normal Stetson markings and a store marking that says "Racusin's, Shickshinney-Berwick, Bloomsburg". I do not have the original box for the hat.

The only problems I can see with the hat is the paper size tag inside by the bow is missing but behind the sweatband is a sticker showing it to be a size 7 1/4 along with a reorder number and a block number. The other minor problem is the wind trolley fits loosely around the crown. The wind trolley is in good shape and firmly attached to the hat but it is just a little larger than the diameter of the crown. I would think that could be easily corrected but I will leave that up to the buyer.

I would prefer to trade the hat for a similar style hat in 7 3/8 to 7 1/2. If that is not possible I will sell it for $150.00 plus the cost of shipping.

Looks great. What is the length and width of the hat opening? Open crown height? Brim width?

The hat opening is 6 1/2" by 8". The brim length is 2 5/8". The front and back of the crown is 4 1/2" as creased. The high point of the crown is about 5" as creased. I'm not sure about the open crown height because I don't want to disturb the current crease by pushing it up. The felt is very soft though and would be easy to recrease but I don't want to disturb it as it is. I hope this helps. Thanks for your interest.
