FS: Optimo Mitchum, moss green, 7-5/8"

I’m offering for sale an Optimo Mitchum in light-weight moss green felt, size 7-5/8.

I bought this from TFL member Neil on ebay about a year ago. Like every Optimo hat I have ever handled, it is amazing. The felt has a beautiful texture, it’s soft and pliable, and keeps whatever shape you give it.

I have only worn the hat a few times and I have finally decided the high-crown, wider-brim hats don’t look right on me. Now that I have purchased a few custom hats made for me to my exact specifications, I never wear this one. So it is time for it to move on to a new home.

I’ll give it a few days here before it goes to ebay again. Price: $275 + $15 shipping (US). (A brand new hat like this would cost $595 from Optimo.)

Specs:
Size = 7-5/8
Crown height = 4-3/4” as creased, 5-3/4” (?) open (not sure I measured that right)
Hat band = Apple-green ribbon, 1-3/8” grosgrain, with bow, no feather
Brim = 2-7/8”, edge bound with matching apple-green ribbon
Sweatband is brown leather, gold embossed logo, and initials “JTI”.
Liner is white satin.

I got the color name "apple-green" from the guy who sold it to me. I think it is more of a gray-green shade. When I get home from work later today, I will take the hat outside to try to get a different view of the colors. It is tough to photograph colors accurately.

If you go to www.optimohats.com, you can see a hat that has similar felt and ribbon colors. I'm not sure it displays the same on all browsers, but on my PC there is a green hat called "The 47th Street" that is on the right side of the 6th row.

I didn’t get home in time to get pictures in direct sunlight. I selected two other hats with fairly standard colors to photograph with the Optimo. I think having other objects of known color can help calibrate the picture so you can understand better what the unknown color looks like. The other two hats are Stetson Chatham in mink brown and caribou gray.
