OK- how w-i-d-e is 9C. Is "C" a "normal" or wide fitting?
I'm not up on American sizes but realise there's a width issue.
I normally take a UK 10(which would be a US 11*) but so does my brother,
who bought 9Ds on a visit to the States and it was a revelation for him- the width was the issue, not the length.
So... what's the sole length and the width at the widest part?
There's just a chance...

BT, I very much doubt they'd work for you. 'C' is a narrow fitting, 'D' being standard width.
