It is a tad loose fitting.

I tried it on again the other day, and actually the fit isn't as loose as I remembered. I don't think I've gained any weight. But I would say that things fits a bit loose for a 42, but should accommodate a layer underneath. It isn't a skin tight fit by any means, if you're used to that, but fits about right for a 42-44 wearer.
