I love this one, but since I've gone up a size, it's too small for me. It would ideally fit someone with about a 39" chest, 40" at the maximum. John made this beauty in a special goatskin he discovered from Upstate New York. It's a repro of Switlik Parachute Company's single Navy Jacket Contract, 76640, which was manufactured sometime between April and October of 1940 as part of a larger order that also included M-426 flight suits. The M-422s were ordered just in time to be issued to many Naval pilots who would go on to serve in the American Volunteer Group, the Flying Tigers.

This jacket features a blackened M-39 Talon zipper, the same type as was used on Monarch's A-2 contract (and their M-422 contract, for that matter). I also added a lucky coin zipper pull and a blood chit to the liner, as a tribute to the Flying Tigers. I am happy to remove either if the buyer wishes - the blood chit was only sewn to the liner, and it was done by hand, so there should be few if any traces left from its removal, and none on the outside. But I thought I'd leave the buyer the option of keeping it, if he likes.

Asking Price: $870 PayPal friends & family will see this jacket shipped in CONUS, $920 abroad.
