No, but it may exist. He used to make the 46s for his size--although he's a tad bigger than me. I think I bought it on the vintage leather jackets site. I'd have to look when I have time.

I believe John makes jackets patterns consistent with the original contracts pattern. He models the size 46 because the 46 is usually the best fit on him. Perhaps because A1s did not survive in the same numbers as A2s and the A1 contracts were more diversified John took more liberty with the measurement of this jacket.

Thank you, thank you to Jonesy86 for the not the first post that caught my eye and turned me on to quality product, and to apba1166 for the smooth transition to this jackets new home in Baltimore. I'm totally chuffed, it's completely exceeded my expectations.

Good one! I love JC’s Capeskin. I wonder if a 30s Aviator cross zip in this hide would be cool.

Go for that cross zip, why not? I forget who posted, but someone recently put up a shot of a CZ/Aviator hybrid layout that was gorgeous.

This is my first Capeskin, or for that matter Good Wear haul and I've had my eye on a nice A-1 for a while. I am still very surprised at the feather weight and feel difference between that and Horsehide. I understand now when I read Capeskin can easily be worn indoors or in warm outdoor temps... Workmanship is superb. Thanks to apba1166 for a smooth sale and transfer!
