Hi everyone

I have decided (with much hesitation) to offer up my Good Wear / Himel collaborative Racer as I find I don't wear it nearly as much as my other jackets. This is an absolutely beautiful jacket in black Shinki teacore horsehide. The Black nylon lining is in excellent condition and the chest, sleeve and main zippers work perfectly. The Shinki horsehide has beautiful grain and still smells fantastic. It is just starting to break in with small spots of the brown teacore beginning to showing through on the cuff and elbow. Great opportunity to own a rare collaborative jacket from two of the best in the business!

Please see the description from Good Wear below as well as the pictures for condition and measurements. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like more pictures.

Looking for $1200 shipped in the US, others please ask for shipping cost. PayPal F&F only

Good Wear Leather and Himel Bros. have been working together and our latest model of jacket is a Cafe Racer. This jacket is based on the pattern of an original Buco Racer, so for those familiar with the pattern, this will be a familiar design. We have only one available right now, made with black "teacore" Shinki horsehide, and for now, only in size 44. If you know John's typical size 44, this jacket will fit just right - we have a solid number of people who have been regularly purchasing his size 44 jackets, and we expect that these five will sell quickly.

This jacket is comfortable, and the horsehide has beautiful, natural grain. The pattern is dignified and will do well for those who ride. The main zipper and sleeve zippers are all vintage NOS Talons, from GW's strong collection of vintage Talon zippers. The chest zipper is a reproduction No.5 nickel Waldes diamond chain, but later jackets will have vintage Talon and Conmar zippers, as we literally just got 300 vintage No.3 nickel and brass NOS chest zippers.

We have plans to make a run of different sizes for this pattern, and all will be stock sizes.

This jacket will ideally fit a person who is 5'11" to 6'2", with a chest circumference of 42-44", and weight of 175-210 pounds.

Jesus - the nicest racer anyone is ever going to own. Looks amazing. if you aren't wearing it enough you might have
"issues" . Ha, only kidding, but sorta not, I mean WHY would someone not wear this? How can anyone own other jackets that are better than this? of course I am joking but, well, geeez, uhm.................. I'm not a fan of racer jackets but this makes me re-consider!!!!!!! Someone is going to inherit an AMAZING jacket Hey, you don't owe me an explanation, I have unloaded awesome jackets before. I think at some point, the hobby moves to an obsession ......................................... You are going to want to post measurements.

Measurements are in the pictures, if any other measurements are needed just let me know. It is a beautiful jacket and I’d like to pass it along to someone who will wear it and appreciate it. Ever since I picked up my Arcadia last year, it’s become my primary go to jacket and this one hasn’t been worn nearly as much as it should be.

How is fit compared to Arcadia in 44?

Very similar fit, the Shinki in the racer is lighter and more flexible. Also, the nylon lining is much lighter in the racer than the wool used in my Arcadia resulting in a slightly looser feeling. I can layer under the racer but not the Arcadia but with the heavy wool lining I don’t need to.
