For sale is an Aero Highwayman in black Connolly Steerhide, size 46. Ken Calder at Aero wrote that based on the label and the lining, the jacket was probably built in 1987. The jacket is in amazing condition, particularly considering it is over 30 years old! The only flaws I can see are extra rows of stitching on the inside facings (zipper replacement, perhaps?) and some minor wear to the jacket’s lining at the bottom (see last two photos). This jacket has a ton of life left in it!
Specs: thick, grainy steerhide from Connolly Leather Limited. Warm, charcoal and white plaid cotton lining. One exterior left breast pocket. Nickel hardware. Both of the zippers work extremely well. I recently conditioned the leather with Connolly’s Hide Care.
Measurements:
Pit-to-Pit: 24”
Shoulders: 20”
Back Length: 25.75”
Sleeve Length: 24.25” (I realize this seems short upon measurement, but most of my jackets have a 25.5”+ sleeve length, and the sleeves on this jacket never seemed too short for me).
Note: although the jacket is tagged a size 46, I would say it fits closer to a true size 44.
Asking $550 shipped.
