Red-and-Black Label Brooks Racer, in brown cowhide.
These Brooks racers are awesome cool, and this one fits me great ... except for the sleeves, which are just way too long for me. Got long arms? Read on...
Hide is brown, and can look a little burgundy-ish in the right light. Talon main, chest, and cuff zippers, all in working order. Two collar snaps, snappin' fine. Elastic running between the back gussets is intact. The zip-out liner is missing.
The jacket has the usual marks of wear, which I tried to capture in the photos. A couple scratches and stray marks here and there is about it, except for a few things to take note of:
- Some loose stitching at the bottom of the right-side back gusset.
- Wear to the end of the left cuff gusset and a small split in the leather at one of the gusset corners.
- A small tear in the body lining (~3/8 inch).
- Some open stitching in a bottom corner of the left chest pocket.
- Some thinning and pulling on the lining inside each cuff. No holes there, just something to be aware of.
A needle and thread will take care of most of these issues. Check the photos for a closer look.
The size tag is worn down to nothing. I'd ballpark the jacket at a 42 or 44 (but with them long sleeves). Please check all the measurements...

Armpit to armpit: 22.75 inches
Waist (body at narrowest area): 20 inches
Sleeve (straight): 27 inches
Sleeve (around the corner): 28.5 inches
Shoulders: 18.5 inches
Back length: 25.25 inches
Weight: just under 4 lb
