i am a true size 40, but 21" pit to pit? Maybe on a skin-tight cafe racer, but not on a buttoned coat.. 21" pit to pit is what I would expect in a size 38 coat, not a 42.

Regardless of that, it is a beautiful jacket and my ranting above is just my bitterness I can't squeeze into it.. very surprised noone has jumped at this yet!

Jacketjunkie, you're absolutely correct. It really looks like size 38 Tall (Long) according to the measurements.
Jackets chest 21 inches and its back length 28 inches mean it would be perfectly nice fit on a tall and skinny person.
Anyway, the jacket looks just excellent, really gorgeous masterpiece!
