FS, Borsalino Alessandria, size 6-7/8

FS, Borsalino Alessandria, size 6-7/8 [SOLD]

I needed a project hat and wanted to do a Naphtha bath on something before I went ahead to do one of my own hats. I picked this Borso up a few weeks ago because the price I thought was fair.

The felt was in need of a good cleaning, as was the liner. I removed the liner and soaked it in a Woolite Solution; it cleaned up very well, no more stains. [I only placed it back into the hat; I did not re-stitch it into place]

I soaked the hat for 24 hours. The Naphtha bath worked well, this hat cleaned up very nice.

The color is light Grey.

I steamed it, brushed it and put a crease in it.

There are a few small staining marks on the thin ribbon in a small area up front.

On the sweat band there are a few small pin like holes, my guess, stapled tags at some point in a thrift store.

The sweat band is in excellent condition with that exception.

There is one small area where there is about 9 stitches missing where the sweat band meets the felt. It isn’t noticeable; and the rest of the stitching is perfect.

The felt body is in very nice shape, no holes, no mothing, no smells. Super soft Borso felt that shapes easily and maintains its shape.

This project cost me $52.00 and so I am only asking that price to recover my money.

I think it is a very nice hat for the price.

I do not think you would be disappointed at all.

No hat box; but the box it arrived in will work fine; the shipping should be under 10 bucks anywhere USA.

Give me your postal zip, I will get an exact shipping price and will PM you with the total amount.

$52.00 plus shipping CONUS

Would you mind providing brim and crown measurements of your nice Borsalino? Thanks.

Just a tip for selling in the future -

Putting such a strong bash/crease in a hat may deter potential buyers. I was thinking about purchasing it until I thought of how difficult it would be to remove the old bash/crease marks. Different bashes for different folks I guess [huh]

:arated: A subtle crease or open crown are best. Nothing too hard to remove.
