Sorry to hear about your issues with the sizing Monitor. So now you have 2 too move?

I hear you about eBay!
The only thing worse about eBay fees etc are the buyers lol!

You nut out a lower price than you specify (when you don't even offer a best offer option!) and finally come to an agreement, only to have them change it at the last minute in the hope you are desperate to sell. Lucky my teamster is the last one I need to move on and don't need the money.

eBay has gone from a great place to buy and sell to a pita.

Protein, nope, just this one. :) Thankfully! My other HWM is great.
I've completely given up on the bay after they've began pulling random charges out of their a$$. Even got my account suspended for a while, because I didn't want to pay for some made-up fees, only to have it instantly reinstated once I contacted customer support. It's the worst. And yeah, if all that ain't enough, there come the buyers. I can understand buyers remorse, heck, I've had a bad case of it once but I've no idea what's up with some of those guys who hit the Buy it now button.

Still, since there are no takers here, I'm gonna have to resort to eBay for this jacket... But same as you, I hope this one's gonna be it.

Deal after deal falling thru... This fine leather jacket is still available. Having two of these in the house is killing me as I'd like to keep 'em both. But I just can't justify such extravagance. It's on the Bay as well, but TFL offer of $460 shipped still stands.

$430 shipped anywhere inside EU, $420 + shipping for the rest of the world. Can't buy Wilson's for that kind of money, let alone as new Aero Highwayman. You know it makes sense.

Okay, so turns out I have no idea how to measure sleeves.

Yesterday I was cleaning the wardrobe and I threw both this HWM and the new one on top of one another, and I noticed that the sleeves of the two jackets appear to be of the same length, even though my new HWM sleeves are specified to be 26 (+) inches long. So, I compared the sleeves of the two jackets and it turns out there's only an inch on a difference! At first I thought Aero must've made a mistake with my new jacket BUT apparently that's not the case because if I go about measuring sleeves like on this image below...
attachment.php

...they indeed do come out at exactly 25 inches. For the Steer HWM.

So major correction - the sleeves of the Highwayman I am selling are exactly 25 inches long! So if anyone's had any concerns about the sleeve length, don't worry about it - you're good.

Cheers!

Gentlemen, seriously? Can't believe this still hasn't sold. So many people have PMed me, everyone asking 'is the jacket still available? Definitely buying it!' and then when I reply, no answer. :(

So yeah, it is still available at the same crazy price, and as beautiful as ever. Hanging in a closet, waiting for its new owner. Cold weather is just around the corner, you'll be needing this jacket sooner than you think! :D
My asking price won't be going down because honestly, I don't think you can a genuine find Aero HWM at what I'm asking - especially not in a condition as good as this. This jacket is essentially new.

Oh, and let me remind you that I'm always up for a trade. I'm looking for a decent CR at the moment so if you have got something in a sz. 40-42, and would be willing to trade, let's do business. :D It doesn't need to be Aero or anything too fancy, just as long as it's of good quality.

Weekend bump!

And once again, I'd love to trade this jacket for something else, a CR if possible, as I would probably be buying another jacket anyway. Image below for illustration purposes only.

I'm sorry for the double bump, I usually wait a week, but here is my email, in case someone who is still without the PM privileges is interested in (asking me anything about) this HWM: nav.buoy@gmail.com

Bump. The jacket is also listed on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aero-Highwayman-Steerhide-leather-jacket-size-44-L/161797735666
Friends account, as I don't have one, but same difference. Offer of $430 for TFL members still stands. :D Jacket will be shipped to you in the ORIGINAL AERO BOX, wrapped in the ORIGINAL AERO BUBBLE-WRAP which is completely irrelevant as the box is exactly the same as any other cardboard box (ditto for the bubble-wrap) but I figured you'd appreciate this, so... Also, loads of fun and amusement guaranteed with the said bubble-wrap.

I was about to post that photo of Daniel Craig wearing a HWM as a last resort, but it would appear that the jacket is PENDING SALE. :D

And SOLD! after nearly 5K views and over 50 messages and emails. There's gotta be a record in that, I think?

Cheers, dan! :) Yeah, finally. I'm happy about it but mostly because buyer got a really excellent and flawless HWM that look as new as it had just left Aero factory.

Might be a record. Congrats. Monitor (Ivan) is a fine gentleman, so also congrats to buyer who is getting a real deal. Love that speckled lining. :)

Finally! I am shocked that it took this long but I'm very happy you can move on and the new owner will have a fantastic jacket.

Hello everyone!

I'm the guy that bought the jacket from Monitor. I ran across his ad from a Google search as I was looking for an Aero Highwayman. Luckily the jacket measurements are perfect for me! Monitor answered all of my questions quickly and offered to provide more photos upon request. After I told him I'd purchase it he sent me proof of shipping and tracking information. The jacket arrived quickly and upon opening the box I saw that it was packaged securely and was in the condition described. I had a great experience with Monitor and wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again.

I'll take it.

Good day,

For sale, one straight up Aero Highwayman in a size 44. This one actually belongs to a very good friend of mine who bought it years ago in London. He rarely ever wore the jacket because it was too heavy for him, but more about that below. I would keep it but the sleeves are too damn short for me, even though it fits me well I think, despite not really being in my size.

The jacket is made from Steerhide - not Horween but the kind that's in my very humble opinion nicest that I have ever seen. Buttery soft, shiny and silky smooth to touch. Just insanely gorgeous leather. Again, this is just IMO, but I find this type of leather really stunning. Heavy wool lining in the body, sleeves lined in cotton drill. US Talon main zip, ball-and-chain zippered chest pocket; all hardware brass. Though heavy, the lining isn't all that insanely warm as I can wear the jacket even though it's pretty hot outside... I would also like to note that the construction on this one is crazy good.

As for the condition, well, see for yourself, a picture is worth a thousand words. This jacket is essentially new! It's an older Aero that has been hanging in a wardrobe for quite some time but it really has seen extremely little use. Zero wear anywhere on it - sleeves didn't even get properly creased yet. Only issue I can see with it is that the heavy lining began sagging below the bottom hem a tiny bit but that's something that happened with time, on its own.

Measurements are...
Chest: 24" / 61.5 cm
Waist: 21.5 - 22" / 53 cm min.
Sleeve length: 25" / 63.5 cm
Back: 26 1/4" / 66.5 cm
Shoulders: 20" / 50.5 cm

Photos...

Don't forget to hit the magnifying glass icon.

Well, that's that. Asking for what I believe is a fair price of 300 GBP / 470 USD plus shipping.

Any other questions, shoot me a PM. Paypal accepted, of course. I'm ballparking shipping at around 15 GBP for the UK and the rest of the EU, but international buyers should please note that the shipping may cost a bit more. Not substantially, the Vanson that I've just sold in the US was 'round $40, but...

Cheers!
