Okay, I got a few inquiries so just to clarify something - It is me who is selling the jacket! The jacket may belong to my friend, and the only reason I've even mentioned this is because of the members who know me and the jackets that I have, but that is entirely irrelevant as for all intents and purposes, it is me who is selling the jacket, meaning you will be doing business with me and me alone. :) I have the jacket physically with me and I will sending it to you. My name & address on the box, etc.
I have sold a number of jackets on this forum and so far everyone's been really happy about it. So worry not.

And yes, the price is final. The jacket was close to $1100. Just the Royal Stewart tartan was 30GBP. I am of the opinion that this would be a very fair price even for a much older jacket that has been well worn, let alone for something like this. I also believe it is quite clear this jacket has been worn just a handful of times as it didn't even begin developing creases anywhere other than on the sleeves.

I hope you keep it. Break it in, and then your friend begs you to sell it back to him :)

lol He already bought a horrendous $1500 Italian lambskin he's wearing all the time. He absolutely loathes this HB due to the weight, and actually feels robbed of his money because he wasn't told how heavy it will be.

Man, I super tempted here.

How much is shipping to the US?

Insured and fully declared, between 40 to 50 USD. That's what the online calculator says and it sounds about right as that's pretty much what I always had to pay when sending jackets to the US, so yeah. :) I can declare the package for whatever amount you would like, though, no problem there.
EU is 25-30 USD. Rest of the Europe, and the world for that matter, I'd have to check.

I selfishly hope it doesn't sell so I can buy it when I have the funds!

Dave, it's worth it. Not saying this to convince you of anything, as it literally breaks my heart that I'm unable to keep it, but if you can get the money & if the measurements work for you, trust me - it's worth it.

Nice! A little dark for me, but doable. I have been looking for a 1930 HB 44 for a while. Is this jacket still available?

It survived the trip overseas, even though a bit of a hold-up in Customs. For a few days I wondered if a Custom's agent was going to keep it. It's everything Monitor indicated it would be and more!! truly awesome and not in the least mis-represented. I'm humbled and thankful to own this jacket now. To anyone considering, I have to reccommend the 30's HB even like this one in Standard fit. And Montor was amazing to work with, very responsive and considerate! Thanks again...

Thank you for the kind words, AeroFan! Really happy the jacket works for you! :D And yeah, the Customs are so annoying... We got the express shipping and everything, the jacket gets to the States in two days and then it gets stuck at the Customs for a week.
