FS: Aero FQHH Slim Fit Half-Belt (Cordovan), Sz. 44

For sale, Front Quarter Horse Hide Aero Leathers 1930's Slim Fit Half-Belt, in a size 44.

I'm listing this on behalf of my friend.

Button cuffs, buckle waist straps. Tartan lining. Double back yoke. Three pockets; two hand-warmers, one chest pocket with zip. Brass hardware, Talon main zip. Standard stuff. Zero customization done on this jacket, other than the tartan lining and the fit, of course.

The jacket is just a few months old, as you can see by the pocket tag info, and has been worn less than a dozen times. No nonsense, no bs; this is essentially a new jacket. You can trust me on this. My friend was the first owner, you'll be second. No point in even mentioning the condition of the jacket.

Beautiful jacket. Chocolate-reddish-brown Cordovan leather. Just stunning! Leather is very stiff - which is the reason why it's being sold. Seriously, if you're looking for something comfortable, skip this. Not even slightly broken in.

Again, this is a Slim Fit HB. I wear 40-42 in jackets and this one actually works very well for me! So yeah, please note that this jacket isn't over-sized by any means, and go by the measurements below.

Measurements are:
P2P - 23.5" / 60 cm
Back length - 25" / 64 cm (jacket is approx. 2" longer in the front)
Across shoulders - 20.5" / 51 cm
Sleeve length - 26" / 66 cm (47 cm inside the sleeve)

Price is 350 GBP / 500 USD + shipping from Europe. Half a price of a new jacket, for a new jacket. You simply can't do better than this.

Few photos:

More photos in my Photobucket. Will gladly take additional photos/measurements on request. If you have insufficient PM priveleges, drop me a mail @: nav.buoy at gee mail dot com

Now that's the way photo's of a jacket should be taken, really clear, close up and well lit. You really get a good look at the garment. Really beautiful jacket!! Good luck with the sale!! ( that baby won't be around too long )

Thanks Treeman! Trying to do my best to capture the new-ness of the jacket.

Many more photos taken by morning daylight. It's cloudy but the insanely rich reddish-brown colour of the jacket is still incredible! I wish I could capture the depth of it on the photos... I've only heard talk of how vividly rich Horween Cordovan is - Now I understand. Oh man, I'm this close to keeping the jacket (and I think it's a decision that would do me more good in the future than all the CR's combined). It's not a CR, but nicer looking jacket I never had.

Well anyway, daytime photos:

Last but not least, some quick fit pictures. I'm 6'1, 185 lbs, 41 chest

The sleeves, when not pulled up as on the photo, are more than long enough for me, falling way over my thumb knuckle.

Sounds like I could save your friend a few hundred with my break in service... [emoji6]

Guppy, he actually would but sadly, having it shipped over to the States would cost too much. :)

If only it had an inside pocket, I'd be very, very tempted! Keep it! Looks too good on you to let is slip away...

God knows I'd keep it, but I don't have the funds. :( No way I'll ever get a better Aero for this sort of money - perfect measurements, colour, lining, everything - and the HB is just so cool, but I just can't justify buying another jacket. I'd have to sell the LL Phantom then...

I've actually had to put it away inside a closet so I don't have to look at it.

In any way, I'm sure the inside pocket can be very easily installed, right? ;)

Thats one very nice jacket at a very nice price.

Its the kind of size that 'might' just work for me, but I'm normally a 44 in suit jackets and I'm guessing it would probably be just a little too slim. Probably for the best, at least for my bank balance.

I'm sure it won't stay around long here.

It's a really, really nice jacket. :) I think this jacket fits me the way regular HB in my size would. I can definitely layer up underneath, but it's good. Though, it's still way too stiff to tell if it would work for me in the future. I can tell you that my friend, one whom the jacket belongs to, wears 44-46 in jackets (wears a Schott A-2 in 48) and this jacket fits him just the way it's supposed to. Slim fitting, but just right. IMO, at least.
Not trying to convince you of anything, of course, as I don't want anyone to end up with the jacket that doesn't fit, but the guy is 2 jacket sizes bigger than I am, and this HB looks perfect on him.

No caf if I keep this. :( No, I just can't keep it. It's too... Nice. I'd have to buy some decent shoes then, not to mention jeans. Single best jeans that I have are Levi's, and the rest is just what I bought at the second hand store during the discount hour. I can't wear a 1000 dollar jacket that looks the part, on clothes worth $9.99, combined.

I disagree. I wear mine over a $10 cubs t-shirt and for jeans...who cares, skip leg day and let the most important piece do the talking!:D

You're killing me..! XD Well, I'll do this - if it doesn't sell in a short while, I'll take that as a sign and keep it. Meanwhile, if anyone's in doubt, some measurements photos (in Centimeters). I think this pretty much covers everything.

I hope you keep it. Break it in, and then your friend begs you to sell it back to him :)
