A super heavy chromexel steer jacket, made heavier by the tweed lining.

The steer is much suppler than horse, the action back makes it very wearable.
Shoulder seam to seam 19"
Underarm to underarm stretched: 24"
body length 28"
sleeves 25".

$425 shipped in the US. $490 shipped elsewhere of the world

Im not very familiar with tweed so can you tell me if tweed a heavier lining, like the Strome weight tartan, or a lighter fabric? Also does the jacket have storm cuffs?

Thanks

Tweed in itself has no indication of weight/density/thickness, it’s just a type of wool & yarn process. But, most tweed on the market are of the Harris type, wool from the Harris island off Scotland. It’s coarse, primitive, strong & warm. The donegal is an Irish variety, smoother, more refined. This particular lining is actually quite rough, a bit like Harris. Imagine the most rough being burlap bag, the finest being merino, this is near the merino end but still feels coarse. Tartan is much smoother.

In a way, the lining can be made into a sport jacket by itself, while tartan is not as sturdy to be the outer fabric for clothing. In my opinion.
