Selling my near-mint Aero Leather Board Racer J-100 in seal goatskin. This is a catch and release that I took a gamble on: was hoping it would fit, and didn't really (sleeves a little short, chest a little tight). Been wearing it open over dress shirts so that a little cuff showing didn't make it look too small, but now that I have my perfect-fit BR J-100 courtesy of @deepestbluest, I'm unlikely to wear this one enough to justify keeping it.
This jacket is unlined, and as such all pockets are cosmetic. It came to me unlined, and I'm guessing that this is why the Aero patch on the inside of the jacket was never added; instead, you can tell it's an aero both by the design, and the "Authentic Aero Leather" snap on the collar (pictured). Came to me advertised as a size 38 (seems correct by the P2P and shoulder measurements), but it could very well fit someone who is in the 36 range.
I absolutely adore this goatskin, and would 100% trade it for an identical jacket that fit, but that's unlikely to be. I'll have to settle for a custom version somewhere down the line.
Measurements:
- 20" Pit-to-pit
- 17.5" Shoulder
- 23.5" Sleeve (shoulder to cuff, the way Thurston and Aero appear to measure)
- 24" Back length
- 17.5" Hem
By looking at it, it seems that a lining could be added to this jacket by a good tailor, but I can't be sure.
Now given the market for Aeros in the US, this one is probably for the Canadian constituents of the forum; after all, I've already eaten the customs to get it into the country. Asking $475 CAD shipped in canada, e-transfer (canada) or Paypal F&F. US and abroad also welcome to deal, and we'll add the difference between your locale and CAD shipping. For US buyers, I'll accept $340 USD (as of today's rate) Paypal F&F + shipping difference, so you won't have to worry about the exchange rate spread!
