Well, this one pains me. A grail jacket, bought brand new from Butterscotch in Long Beach. It's Tommy's collaboration jacket with Addict. You can read all about it here, on his site, for all of the juicy details. But man, what a jacket. Just doesn't fit me properly.

Paid $2175 new. Worn sparingly, never in the elements. Excellent condition. Asking $1700 shipped CONUS. Paypal F&F. Or local pickup in LA. Also, FWIW - I would also be open to trading for a 40 in this same jacket.

The highlights:

Tri-Jacket = D pocket, Cafe Collar, Horse hide. This is the updated model with the 2-way front zipper. The measurements on his site are pretty damn close to specs of my actual jacket, which are below (taken zipped):

20.5" chest
17" across the shoulder
24.5" sleeve
25.5" front length
19" waist

Happy to take any additional photos or measurements you might want.

Oh man, I have the same jacket. But, you snagged one with the two way zipper! So awesome.
The two-way zip is definitely a sweet upgrade. This jacket really is so well designed. Tommy had a killer vision for this thing. Kills me that it doesn’t fit me right.

Did you try reaching out to him for a swap to a 40? If not, I’m sure one will pop up somewhere.
I haven’t, just because I’ve had it and worn it some, so I know there’s no way he’d be game for it. The roll of the dice when it comes to basing things off measurements. You were right all along tho — the armholes are cut a bit too high to work with my height.

Yes, the cut/design is very specific. It almost fits like a leather shirt. I too had issue with the fit when I first got mine. But, slowly and eventually the jacket loosened up thru the arms and back.

The jacket has zero tolerances for movement in the upper block of the jacket. Hence, if you’re on the boarder line of fit, it’s going to be a problem. But, what makes the jacket so darn cool, is also its problem when it comes to fit. It’s always a trade-off with leather jackets.

I suspect you’re like me, right on the cusp of sizing. I can go with either size 38 or size 40 depending upon the jacket, manufacturer and/or construction.

Yes! You nailed it. I’m always between sizes because of my height — it gives me broad shoulders and long arms compared to my actual weight / chest size.
But for someone who can fit a 38 easily, this one will be perfection over time.
