I'm not sure if a better version exists on DVD. Frankly, I'm surprised that they don't include it as a bonus on the His Girl Friday DVD. But since His Girl Friday is in the public domain, the studio that eventually buys the rights will have the say as to whether they put out a restored version with bonus features.
