So I can get the waist coat and the jacket though not trousers? That's not fair!

It's always about going out half shod thses days... what's the gimmick at this shop? They have nice suits too... lapels are a bit narrow per the modern aesthetic, though if they are going to make a matching vest and jacket they better bllody well make the trouser to go with the outfit.

I want a nice tweed suit. It's hard for me to buy off the rack... If it's piece meal then give me all the parts. That's all!

That is a good point. Better to have a two piece suit than a vest and jacket alone. I fdid find a vest that goes with my suit if you do not look too closely. :)

I got the ladies version of this tweed suit. It's very vintagey, and so cute, with suede elbow patches and a cute aline skirt.
JCrew used to be my favorite store. For a few years they were selling very high quality clothes, albeit they were pricey, they tend to go on sale quite quickly. The one near me has good service, I actually have a personal shopper who gets me invited to private sales when the store is closed. They usually offer this service for free, and the sales they have are really good. I wouldn't pay full price fo anything from them.

Well trousers and jacket to me are always a better combo than jacket and vest with mismatched trousers.

As usual, you have a good point. However, it's quite British to wear a matching tweed jacket and waistcoat with completely different trousers. This is a strictly country look: the trousers would be made of moleskin or whipcord, for example.

They were, and if they keep up the pace they will be again.

I just hope Banana Republic keeps on it's new coarse of reintroducing their safari wear here and there... they do more repro and I might just buy some adventure gear at the place that made it cool again.
