Ralph Bakshi's typewriter collection

“I’m basically a pack rat,” he said. He also has multiple tabletop radios from the 1940s and 1950s. But the first vintage typewriter he found, an Underwood model from around 1910 — top of the line in its day — is his first love. He spotted it on the street on the Lower East Side in the 1980s.

It took me forever to find my vintage typewriter. Of course, I had to replace the ribbon (pink, and from the 50s), but it works good as new, and I use it to type papers on it. I find it much more relaxing and easier to concentrate typing on a typewriter than a computer. I wonder if that one still works?

Ive always wanted an old Underwood. They seem so cool. Yeah i just like Underwoods;) Maybe its in the name, or the stylish lettering on the mechanical black frame.

Royal typewriter

I believe that i had a royal nice black portable very art deco with matching wooden case wrapped in black fabric, had it on my desk for five years with my chicago monophone telephone, complete with ash tray and walnut 40 desk then one day, it got moved and the stuff got boxed, and now the typewriter got traded for fax machine repair and the phone got loaned to my friends 50 diner, so be warned your space can be wiped by members of yours family here is hoping for a mans den, or wreck room in the next house next to the pool table. 59Lark.
