Found this coat in a Philly surplus store for $15, dated 1967.

These were the coats that doubled up as GI overcoats on Band of Brothers.

I just picked up a Belgium Air Force overcoat form Sportsman's guide. Save for the buttons, it is essentially a dark blue British Warm.
I love those French coats too!
Surplus European overcoats..... is there anything they can't do?

I have one too and I like it!

Like a 'warm' it's a good, shorter alternative to a greatcoat. Replace the buttons and it looks civilian. Interesting back detail, too.
