Recently arrived from France a fantastic hat for the small sizes wearer
French made hat in black felt. The producer E.P. was in Chazelle sur Lyon, the capital of the hats production in the Loire district
The hat, from my experience in French production, was made in the twenty or in the thirties
The proportions are as follows: raw brim 5,5 cm. open crown at 12,5 and the ribbon is 5 cm.
Very silky and malleable felt, it contains a part of wool as most of the hats in that period.
The sweatband, light, is very similar to the Sools Steur has in his collection
The inside is a worn patch that could one of the numerous producers in the capital of French hats
Under the sweatband there this paper label write by hand.
No indications of size, but it is a 55 cm or 6 7/8 US
No stamps on the sweatband
It was used, but for the its age in a perfect shape, no moths, no flaws
