Freewheelers Wool Wigwam Jacket

This is my only Freewheelers jacket. Got this from @TiltRotorFlyer. We have done several jacket deals. Each one a pleasure.

This is sized 44 and is every bit that size. I am about 190 pounds in the fit pictures. I also have the bottom hem cinchs drawn in. You could probably get a few more pounds in this jacket. I can easily wear a sweatshirt or heavy sweater under it. No idea the weight of the wool, but it is substantial.

I had a RMC wool work jacket I sold because it didn't fit, so this was a nice find. I've lusted for a wool/leather combo jacket, but had trouble finding one to fit. The vintage jackets is this combo are very difficult to find.

The wool attracts hair and other particles like velcro. That shows up in the pictures.

It is a larger style jacket than the RMC

Lovely piece. Didn't Buzz do something similar recently too? I like the details on this one - the inner pockets and the leather(?) strip to prevent wear on the hem especially. Really looks the part as a period jacket.

Was it their CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) jacket? This red plaid looks like it.

I've been wearing this jacket often. Really feels good just sitting in the house wearing it on these chilly evenings.

I don't know, feels heavy like my vintage wools.

Love that Wigwam. For me, this will be another wool winter.

As to the question of the weight, it is probably a 28 oz. weight. That is heavy for a jacket. A vintage peacoat has the heaviest wool possible, and that is 32 oz.
