I couldn't justify it because of the weather here. It doesn't get cold enough to warrant such a jacket.
Yeah the size for me. I knew it but never the less I was watching, sweating, trigger finger twitching...I might have finally learned to not buy a jacket that won't fit. That was THE test!

It's great but pales in comparison to that Buzz R. Aviator you sold. God if that had been one size up... I'd be eating Ramen noodles 'til spring.

I bid on that one but was sniped in the last few seconds. I was pretty conservative in my bid and am not surprised someone outbid me, but I would've rocked the hell out of it.

Yeah it went for less than I thought it would've. That single breasted mouton shawl collar is something of an Atlantis for me. One day...

I bid on that one also. I would have paid that amount if I could have worn it. I have three of their jackets and they run large, but that would have been too small to keep.

Just amazing, like that Buzz Rickson.

It seems this thread is going in direction talking about the Buzz Aviation Coat I sold recently... ;)

Therefore I added a pic of the Buzz Coat in first post... to give other FL Members an idea...what we are talking about.

Both Coats are nice in their own way... of course it's always a personal taste.

Thank you for doing bids on one of my items I recently sold on Ebay...
FW Switchyard is a size 42". As for ref. I am 5'11", 82 kgs (181 lbs) with a 40" chest (102 cm)... athletic built. Coat fits me like a glove.

Do these guys do any "custom" sizes? ie longer body length

They have beautiful stuff, but they are all super short!

Buzz Rickson does not offer any custom work of any kind; everything is part of a production run and made to sizes established in advance. Having said that, we have and do have custom sizes made in select items (size 46 B-10 and N-1 heavyweight jackets), but offering a longer length is only done if the design itself is in need of being longer as a regular fitting, which I cannot imagine is the case in three-quarter-length styles. The styles from BR of this type we've sold in the past have been perfectly adequate for men around 6' 2" tall or so in sizes 40-44, thus making longer fittings doesn't seem at all likely if the same sizing is applied. We did try to solicit here last year a design built on TFL member's input but that was way too complicated, which is not a surprise, so something built to some homogenized idea may happen in the future, with sizes also set at the time.

We'll be viewing and ordering our fall outerwear at the end of the month and I'm anxious to see what is available. If anyone would like to preview and potentially place an advance order with 50% deposit on any leather jacket styles, thus guaranteeing the size and color they desire, please email me at the office: fragen@historypreservation.com Please note that if sizes follow past designs, the largest chest measure we will be able to fit would be 44" - 46".

Thank you.

Afaik... they don't... FW still is focused on Japanese Market and therefore also in their cut/sizing for eastern/asian body frames.

They actually do! Just got an email from the factory.
I enquired about having a "Centinela" made, but with 26" back rather than the stock 23", they said it wasn't a problem, but there was a ¥100,000 "custom fee" added to the base ¥241,500, giving us a total of ¥341,500 ($3000 or £2400!)

yeahhh, suuuuure.

Ok, I see... didn't know this ;) but a ¥ 100'000 "custom fee" wouldn't be a problem... is always a question how much you have in your coin pocket... just now... it comes into my mind, I read recently about a (chinese) customer at Desolation Row who bought 6 jackets at once :)
