One of the nicest jackets to ever grace these pages. If sleeve shortening is the peak of your concerns, I'd say job well done.

Personally i feel cuffing your jacket is fine if you unbutton the cuff, also pop up the collar and partially untuck your shirt, especially since the leather is natural and might develop uneven darker tones later on, might work with that vibe, but i'm not sure it would fit your style.

Thanks everyone for the honest feedback. I have since undone the cuffs. I am going to look into all of the suggestions for alterations. @Superfluous mentioned someone nearby and based on our similar tastes and standards, if this is someone he trusts to do the alterations I will trust them as well.

@willyto oh yeah that is A_See's jacket. I am a longtime member on Denimbro and those pictures were one reason I was into the Sunset it the first place!

@Monitor great point. I definitely take that as a compliment so I can see how it is at odds with the rest of my look.

@VestCoast thanks! I don't mind them either, but I would prefer to not have to cuff them if I don't have to. The comments about durability concern me even more.

@sweetfights thanks very much!

@navetsea I appreciate that, but as Monitor points out, my look is way too considered to do what you suggest. I could never untuck my shirt like that anymore :D

Everyone, again, thank you for all the suggestions. I have one very strong and convenient lead that I am following and if that falls through, I will look more seriously into the others such as Dr. H's suggestion, Dave Himel, and the person John Chapman trusts. I would prefer to bring the jackets in person and not have to pay for shipping.

That doesn’t look too bad. They stop short of the knuckles so to me that looks alright. It’s maybe 0.5-1 inch longer than I would prefer for my sleeves. I would keep them uncuffed.

The jacket is absolutely stunning, congratulations!

I think I prefer it cuffed, but thanks to @Superfluous I should be able to have this and my Caboose fixed fairly soon.

All my jacket sleeves are purposefully fall there, will not show my wrist no matter how i pose my arm. But i also like my pants stack and wont expose my ankle or sock even when i squat

I personally feel the sleeves are much too long, but I do now have a solution thankfully :)

Good points @dannyk and @willyto . I also found helpful solution.

I decided to use the smaller cuff buttons on this and my Caboose jacket. While not a perfect solution, I do think this looks by far the best out of the first three options. I will stick with this while deciding on whether or not to shorten the sleeves, but I like the stacking in the arms that this forces.

It looks good IMO - it's not 100% perfect (should everything be perfect in our life?? No!) but I like it. Btw nice pics!

That's pretty much exactly what I think. It's not exactly perfect, but I'm honestly happy with this. It also sort of feels 'real' to me as this is why those second buttons are there for a reason and I'm sure some people used them back in the day...
