Have to agree. At these prices you really have to love the jacket and be prepared to own it a good long while to get your money’s worth. Its starting to get ridiculous the prices nowadays i have to say

Lol, so true and it happened for me even at the old pricing.I'd like to think the price hikes will make people reconsider settling for a poor fit just so they can have a jacket by Brand X from Japan.
Though, to be fair, some of the Freewheelers pattern fit better than others, they have quite the variation in their offereing.
That is unreal !I was told by a shop here in Toronto that The Real Mccoys J24 will be going from $3100 to $4300 CAD in the fall.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see similar price increases from other makers.
Yeah definitely not implying their pattern work is inherently bad, just that I have no shortage of friends who’ve sausaged themselves into RMC and FW that clearly don’t fit but they don’t like to think about it after spending $3000 lol.
I was at Lost and Found on Ossington About 3 weeks ago. They had a 44 and a 46 … luckily I look ridiculous in this style of jacket or I’d be a bit lighter in the wallet as they were beautiful and with the price increase coming there’s the FOMO factor lolThat is unreal!
RMC Buco J24s have been £2350 / about $3000 USD (£2550/$3250 for the J24L!) in the UK for at least 4/5 years, Ill be interested to see how far they think they can push the pricing over here considering they are already massively taking the piss.
Where do you see them coming up for sale? So, the new stock San Mateo and Mulholland are up for sale on japanese websites for 440 000 - 475 000 yen. Suppose there goes my dream of getting the Mulholland. Quite a hefty price hike from 250 000 - 275 000, but it seems Speedway is already sold out so...
Edit: Come to think of it, yen is about 25 % cheaper than 5 years ago and about 37,5 % price hike considering inflation is not that out of line. Maybe there is hope yet!
For example,. Genco (Size 40 San Mateo and Mulholland), Wolfpack (Size 40 Mulholland)Where do you see them coming up for sale?
That's absolutely RIDICULOUS for a mass produced cafe racer (the easiest design to make).J100 is EUR 2.500,-
Yeah, but one Japanese dealer told me that the J-24 will be 300,000 Yen this fall, I forgot whether it is with tax or without. That's absolutely RIDICULOUS for a mass produced cafe racer (the easiest design to make).
They're almost 50% cheaper in Japan. You could fund the airplane ticket from the difference lol.

I visited three or four RMC stores in Japan, they all full size ranges of each and every model in stock. It certainly didn't look like they were flying off the shelves.Chances are they are going to sell out all stock even if they didn’t export.
