The muholland seems to be a fan favorite and it’s easy to see why. It’s basically a modernized Cal Ventura, redesigned as street wear and to great success. I usually avoid Japanese brands as I find the purchase process too difficult to navigate. That said, if I ever found this in a 44” I would pounce. It’s like a summary of all the elements I’ve pursued in various jackets rolled into one.

They also make the Mulholland it in a size 46

I really like that sunset boy. I’m dreaming of the day I can find a jacket in that color. It looks like very nice leather too, simple clean design. Nice! Sweet collection, even though these aren’t apart of it anymore and great photography. I always enjoy your posts.

I almost purchased one but 2000€ plus shipping + probably another 1000€ with taxes and custom duties,handling fees...on top of it...nope. I can't afford that for something I can't wear except maybe 2 months a year and I already have long leathercoats.

They do this season 2021 - 2022, with a 10000 yen increase of retail price compared to last year (280000 vs. 270000).

Looks like someone looked into it for you, happy hunting! The La Brea looks so cool, it's the only belted jacket I like. I got in touch with genco clothing btw

Thanks for sharing the bit of info, I was told 250,000 yen for a size 36 Black Mulholland. Not sure if a bigger sized jacket commands a higher premium.

Thanks, the seller I reached out to mentioned the tax free part. I never ordered directly from Japan before but I do remember the tax free shopping when you pay over a certain amount while in country.

My wife finally noticed the new Muholland today. We were at the park with my son and she looked at me quizzically and asked “is that a new jacket? It looks different but honestly I can’t tell anymore”

I replied...”uh...I guess it’s one of my newer ones. Why? Do you like it?”

the wife. “Not really”

LOL if she knew what I paid she’d really not like it.

Don't feel bad. I don't know if your wife's taste in men's clothing is as bad as most women, but the crap they like is a headscratcher. If you asked most women to find a leather jacket for you that they like, they will come back with some horrid looking steaming garbage lol! BTW my wife thinks all my jackets look the same too, even though they don't at all LOL

Ha! Thanks...but honestly I have a little remorse... I think I should have gone with a SZ 42. The jacket looks good in pics but man is it tight. I’ve only had it a little while and hoping it’ll loosen some with wear, I can wear it, and I have been...but if I had to do it over, I would have bought the next size larger. Live and learn.

They only charge a premium on retail price when size reaches 44 or above.
