Great! Looking forward to your thoughts on size and fit. I seem to remember we are basically the same size in Himel´s Imperial, and I recently got a FW Mulholland in 44 too.

Thank you Tom, I believe we are very similar in size.

Would you kindly link to your Mulholland incoming … Belated congratulations! I must’ve missed that and would love to hear more of your thoughts on fit!

I only posted one indoor fit picture in the WJAYWT thread so far. Must have been ca end of May. I will track it down and let you know. The wool lining makes it much too warm to wear these days.

Fit is quite a bit more roomy than the Imperial. Makes a lot of difference, especially over the stomach area. Layering is no problem with the Mulholland, thankfully without looking excessively bulky. I'd say it's a very easy wearing jacket in the best of senses.
I like it very much, but I must say, I do still prefer the horsehide on the Himel though. Here's comparing the two most expensive jackets in my stable, so I feel entitled to being a bit picky here...;)

Curious about your thoughts on all this!

Please forgive the perhaps slightly off-topic question, but does anyone have experience of buying from SpeedwaySendai.com with particular reference to them being happy to mark down the value of purchases for the customers customs/import duty charges etc?

Here you go. This is the only fit-picture I currently have...

I bought my incoming Mulholland from Kentaro at Speedway Sendai. I did not ask about marking down the customs value, as in my humble opinion, it’s not worth the risk.

I have experience buying other things that require import duties and taxes here in Canada, and it’s not worth the risk. Besides, it’s just the right thing to do IMHO. I get that others may disagree.

In Japan there are pretty strict regulations most established stores have no stomach to buck. I had an acquaintance who lives in Japan receive my Mulholland from a Japanese store then ship to me with the amended claimed value. But I paid him a hefty fee to do so. I am not sure it would have been cheaper just paying all the fees on the up and up. But damn, those fees hit us on both sides of the ocean for the same item.

About 10 years or so ago I could get most retailers to undervalue the package. These days I haven't found a single one who is willing to do it. I don't even ask anymore.
